Registration is now open for our 6th annual New York Starbright’s Youth Talent Dance Competition!!
The annual Impact Culture NYC Children's Dance Competition is back for its 6th year! This year, the competition will be held in two seasons:
Spring Season: Solo, Duo, and Small Group (3-5 dancers)
Fall Season: Group Dance
The competition is open to all dancers ages 4-17. Known for its integrity, fairness, and professional standards, Impact Culture NYC provides winners with exciting performance opportunities, ensuring their talents shine beyond the competition stage.
The Spring Season competition features three electrifying genres: Chinese dance, ballet, and street dance. Whether you’re showcasing elegance, precision, or bold creativity, this is your moment to shine in one of New York’s most iconic performance venues.

📅 Registration Period: February 20 – April 10

Competition Timeline
📅 Preliminary & Semifinals (Video Submission): April 12 - April 16
📅 Finalists Announced: April 16 - April 18
📅 Finals: Sunday, May 17 at Lincoln Center – Bruno Walter Auditorium (111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10023)

👶 Mini Stars: 4.5 - 6 years
🌟 Junior: 7-9 years, 10-12 years
💫 Teen: 13-15 years, 16-17 years
entry Fees
✅ Preliminary Round: Free
✅ Semifinals: $65 (Solo, Duo, Small Group)
✅ Finals:
Solo: $110 per dancer
Duo: $85 per dancer
Small Group (3-5 dancers): $75 per dancer
📌 Additional Routines: $30 per extra dance entry
📌 Finalists receive one complimentary guest ticket. Additional guest tickets: $20 each.
Performance Time Limits
Mini Stars: Up to 3 minutes
Junior Dancers: Up to 3.5 minutes
Teen Dancers: Up to 4.5 minutes
⚠ Overtime Fee: $10 per dancer for each extra minute (max 1 additional minute).
Video Submission Guidelines
🎥 Video Length: 2.5 minutes max
🎥 Judging Process:
Preliminary Round: Only the first 1 minute of the video will be reviewed.
Semifinals: The full 2.5-minute video will be reviewed.

Clear visuals & performance focus
Filmed horizontally, no edits or cuts
Clean background, steady camera

Important day of show Notes
🚨 Contestants must arrive early to check-in, but please do not arrive more than 90 minutes prior to your competition time.
🚨 No food or drinks allowed in the venue.
🚨 Video/photo recording is restricted.
🚨 No refunds once registration is submitted.
🚨 Winners outside NYC must arrange local pickup for prizes (shipping not provided).
