Culture is our way to celebrate community

Culture and community are inextricably linked together.

Within the Chinese American community, culture is all around us and within us - how we speak, how we perceive, how we think, what we eat, what we do - our folklore - the living expression of culture in everyday life -has been learned and passed on for over thousands of years.

In the US, our take on culture and tradition is a blend and mix of two very different worlds; our folklore becomes third-culture. New York City is home to the largest Chinese-American population of any city proper, with well over half a million third-culture beings, the largest metropolitan Chinese population outside Asia.

At Impact Culture, we take these experiences and transform them into song, story, dance, festivals and celebrations.
